About Me
Why Honeoye?:
I am a lifelong resident of the Western New York region. As a young boy, I lived in Mendon, then Bath, before my family settled in Avoca. I love the four seasons we have here!
I moved to Honeoye in late 1999 to raise a family. I was drawn to the rural setting, open space, and small-town community.
Education:
- 1989, NYS Regents Diploma from Avoca Central School
- 1993 Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering Technology from SUNY Alfred
- 2001 Master of Science, Electrical Engineering from Alfred University
Community Involvement:
In 2009 I organized from the ground up a FIRST Lego League team, bringing a robotics program to Honeoye for 9 to 13-year old students. This program ran three years straight; the teams making it into the regional competition in two of those seasons.
Currently I am involved with the Honeoye Fast Pitch Softball league, helping with organizational efforts like recruitment and scheduling in the 10U and 12U leagues.
Work & Career
- I have been employed by Harris RF Communications in Rochester for the past 19 years where I am currently a Principal Electrical Engineer designing tactical communications equipment.
- Author of multiple trade journal articles and four conference papers
- I hold two U.S. Patents (6,812,789 and 7,904,711)
